  • 2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 cups mixed vegetables (carrots, peas, corn)
  • 1 tablespoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the chicken in the chicken broth until fully cooked, then shred.
  2. In a bowl, mix together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add the melted butter and milk to the dry ingredients and stir until combined.
  4. Add mixed vegetables, thyme, and pepper to the pot.
  5. Drop spoonfuls of dumpling batter into the boiling broth.
  6. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until the dumplings are cooked through.
