Creamy German Goulash

A delicious and comforting creamy German goulash made with flavorful turkey bacon.

  • 4 slices turkey bacon
  • 1 pound beef chuck, cubed
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons tomato paste
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • Salt to taste
  • Black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, brown the beef chunks. Remove and set aside.
  3. Add onion and garlic to the pot, sautéing until softened.
  4. Stir in beef broth, tomato paste, paprika, and thyme.
  5. Add the beef back to the pot and simmer until tender.
  6. Stir in the sour cream and cooked bacon before serving.

Notes

  • This dish is best served with egg noodles or rice.
  • Add more paprika for additional flavor.
