  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup butter
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Peel and cut yams into slices.
  3. In a large pot, boil yams until slightly tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Drain the yams and place them in a baking dish.
  5. In a saucepan, melt butter and mix in brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
  6. Pour the mixture over the yams and toss to coat.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, covered with foil.
  8. Remove foil, add marshmallows, and bake for an additional 10 minutes until golden brown.
