  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 4 cups beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 carrots, sliced
  • 3 potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional for thickening)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in the carrots, potatoes, onion, and garlic.
  4. Add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
  5. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 hours.
  6. If desired, mix cornstarch with a little water and stir into the stew to thicken.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!
