  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup Halloween-themed candy, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then stir in the vanilla.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips and Halloween-themed candy.
  7. Spread half of the batter in the prepared baking dish, then layer the remaining half on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Cool before cutting into squares and serving.
