Mac and Cheese Soup

A rich and creamy soup that combines the flavors of mac and cheese with the indulgence of turkey bacon.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces elbow macaroni
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook macaroni according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pot, cook the turkey bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  3. In the same pot, melt butter and sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  4. Add chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Stir in cooked macaroni, cheese, and cream. Cook until cheese is melted and soup is heated through.
  6. Season with salt and pepper. Top with crispy turkey bacon before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider adding different cheeses.
  • This soup is great for leftovers and can be reheated easily.
