- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 pound ground beef
- 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
- 2 cups diced tomatoes with green chilies
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
- Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned.
- Add the diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
- Simmer for 10 minutes, then add in the cheeses. Stir until melted and smooth.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips.
Notes
- For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños to the mixture.
- This dip can also be made in a slow cooker for convenience.
