Spicy Cowboy Queso Recipe

A deliciously rich and spicy queso dip made with turkey bacon and beef, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 4 ounces turkey bacon, chopped
  • 2 cups diced tomatoes with green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
  2. Add the turkey bacon and cook until crispy.
  3. Stir in the ground beef and cook until browned.
  4. Add the diced tomatoes, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, and salt. Stir well.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes, then add in the cheeses. Stir until melted and smooth.
  6. Serve warm with tortilla chips.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add sliced jalapeños to the mixture.
  • This dip can also be made in a slow cooker for convenience.
